UNTIL HE BRINGS ME HOME

You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:24-26

fret not, work hard

God is more pleased with your obedient preparation and your faithful trust in his sovereignty, even if the outcome is failing [the test, the interview, the application process, etc.]

than he is with disobedient laziness and arrogant self-dependence, even if the outcome is [by the world’s standards] ideal.

Consider Jonah, who—despite his cowardice and lack of love for the citizens of Ninevah—was used to bring the whole city to repentance

and Jeremiah, who—despite being beaten and rejected for his ministry—faithfully preached and desperately desired to see Israel return to their God;

I would like to be like Jeremiah.
