UNTIL HE BRINGS ME HOME

You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:24-26

despite me

I think about my siblings

and I am filled with determination to do better

determination because I want to proclaim the glories of Christ

but filled with dread because I am such a sinner, and they know it

dread because what if they don’t get saved because of me?

In these moments, I must remember:

it is not up to me; Christ saves, not I; if he uses me, it will be despite me

and soli Deo gloria.

So, Justin, Martin, and Raychel (actually not a typo on that last one—my parents were going for “unique” [I guess Justin and Martin got shafted on that]):

I will do my utmost to better love and work, for your sake

and I will beg in prayer for mercy, for your souls.
